Thank you for visiting NVQHELP website - I will assume that you are about to or currently registered on the Health and Social Care QCF/NVQ diploma, either level 2 or 3, children and young people or young adults. The NVQ award has now changed to a QCF diploma award. It is basically the same award, as it requires the same evidence, but instead of 8 units for the NVQ, the QCF requires credits, which are made up of more units, but they are smaller and the questions are easier to answer. I hope you find this site helpful and simple to use. The aims of NVQ Help are to break down the whole process into simple, easy to follow steps. We have a section of tips and hints, FAQs and NVQ technical and generic unit glossaries. I am an assessor who would like to pass any experience I have obtained on to new candidates. When I registered for my Health and Social Care award, I initially found the award process very confusing. I was fortunate enough to have a very knowledgeable, experienced, helpful and concise assessor, who explained the whole process clearly. I have since realised that this is not always the case and a lot of candidates have assessors who are not so helpful. Since completing my HSC level 3 and A1 assessor awards - there is one thing that has become very clear. THERE ARE NO SET ANSWERS TO THIS AWARD. It is an individual work based qualification, assessed on you (the candidate) - throughout your daily work practice. There are some set questions, which are applicable to all candidates. These are the ones that require knowledge of legislation, Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Communication - but these also need to be based on your individual job role. working environment and client base. Your assessor will visit your workplace from time to time and observe you in your daily duties. Your reflective accounts, assignments and product will be checked against what you do. A common mistake that is made by candidates when completing this award is to generalise evidence submitted. Please remember - the award is based on your working abilities not your colleagues. Please see tips and hints- there is a breakdown on how to write reflective accounts or find examples of actual reflective accounts (submitted for an award) in the study aid. Please have a look at Tips and Hints , FAQs and NVQ technical and generic unit glossaries. I hope you find the advice helpful If you need some further guidance, we also have the NVQ study aid This study aid has example answers from actual work documents, reflective accounts, assignments, product evidence, case studies submitted by a candidate to complete an NVQ award. The documents have been verified by an Internal Verifier and a certificate of completion issued. Please see below the contents of the NVQ 3 Study Aid. Good Luck with your NVQ award Thank you for visiting our website.
